Help & FAQ

How to use
daycrunch®.

daycrunch® locations are digitally operated. This page explains how to register, book rooms, access locations, invite visitors, manage parking, view invoices and get help when something does not work.

01 · General

The basics.

What is daycrunch®?
daycrunch® is a workplace system inside existing buildings. You can book desks, meeting, coaching, training and event rooms and private offices, and use services such as food, parking and visitor access where they are available. One account works across every location.
What can I book through daycrunch®?
Desks, meeting and coaching rooms, training and event spaces, and private offices. Where available, you can also register parking and invite visitors. You book by the hour, day or month.
Which locations are available?
daycrunch® operates several locations across Switzerland, in Basel, Zurich, Lausanne and Mägenwil. See Locations for the current list and what each one offers.
Are all services available at every location?
No. Workspace is available everywhere, but food, fitness, care, parking and other services depend on the location. Each location page shows what is live, being tested and planned.
Is there staff on site?
Usually not. daycrunch® locations are digitally operated, so there is no permanent reception. You register, book and enter using the app or a PIN. The Helpdesk is reachable when you need it.
02 · Registration & accounts

Your account.

Do I need an account?
Yes. You need a personal daycrunch® account to book a space and to enter a location.
Why do I need a personal account?
Because bookings, building access and billing are automated. We need to know who booked a space and who entered the location, for security and for correct billing. A personal account keeps every entry traceable to the right person.
Why can I not use a generic company email account?
Access and bookings have to be attributable to an individual. A shared mailbox would mean several people using one identity, which we cannot link to a specific booking or entry. Each user needs their own login.
Can my company add several users under the same billing account?
Yes. Several users can be linked to one company or cost centre for billing, while each person keeps a personal login. See Company accounts and billing below.
Can we have a company administrator?
Where enabled, a company administrator can add and remove users and manage the billing account. Contact support to set this up.
How do I change my account details?
Log in to the portal and update your details under account settings.
What happens if an employee leaves the company?
An administrator can remove the user from the company account, or you can contact support. The login is then unlinked from company billing so it can no longer book against the company.
03 · Booking rooms & spaces

How booking works.

How do I book a room?
Log in to the app or web portal, choose a location, a space and a time, and confirm. Your booking is ready immediately.
Can I book by the hour?
Yes. Most rooms can be booked from one hour.
Can I book for a full day?
Yes. Choose a full day, or any number of hours.
Can I book recurring meetings?
Where available, you can set a repeating booking in the portal. If you cannot find the option for a space, contact support.
How do I cancel or change a booking?
Open the booking in the portal and change or cancel it before it starts. See Terms for any cancellation conditions.
Where can I see my bookings?
Under Manage My Bookings in the portal, with your current and past bookings.
When do I receive access?
Access becomes active at the start of your booking and ends when it finishes. Your confirmation includes the access details.
What is included in a booking?
WiFi, a screen where the room has one, and coffee, tea and water. The price you see is the price you pay.
04 · Manage my bookings

Everything in the portal.

After logging in, you can:

View your current and past bookings, change or cancel eligible bookings, download invoices, and update your billing details. Where your role allows, you can also manage your company’s members and assign badges and number plates, both theirs and your own. And as each location develops, membership opens its further services (Food, Life Services and Care & Performance), which you can explore under Services.

Manage my bookings
05 · Building & room access

Getting in.

How does building access work?
You open doors with the app or a PIN issued with your booking. There is no key to collect and no reception.
How do I open the main entrance?
Use the app, or enter your PIN on the door panel. Access is active for the time of your booking.
How do I open a booked room?
The same app or PIN opens your booked room during the booking period.
When does my access become active?
At the start time of your booking, and it ends at the end time.
What happens if I arrive early?
Access opens at your start time. If you need to come in earlier, extend the booking in the app, subject to availability.
What happens if I stay longer?
Extend your booking in the app if the space is free. Access follows the booking, so extend it before it ends.
Can I use a physical access card?
At selected locations, a physical access card can be issued. Most people use the app or a PIN. Contact support if you need a card.
What should I do if my phone battery is empty?
Use your PIN on the door panel instead of the app. Keep your booking confirmation, which contains the PIN.
What should I do if the door does not open?
Check that you are within your booking time and at the correct location. If it still does not open, use the touch panel or intercom where available, or contact the Helpdesk.
06 · Visitors

Inviting guests.

Where visitor management is available, you can invite guests through the portal. The visitor receives the access information by email. Access is temporary and linked to the time and location of the booking, so guests can enter without manual reception while access stays traceable.

How do I invite a visitor?
Where visitor management is available, invite a guest through the portal when you book. The visitor receives the access information by email.
Can I send a visitor an access code?
Yes. The invitation includes a temporary access code linked to the time and location of your booking.
Can I invite several visitors?
Yes, where visitor management is available. Add each guest by email.
How long is a visitor access code valid?
Only for the time and location of the related booking. It expires automatically afterwards.
Can visitors enter without me?
Yes. The code lets a guest enter for the booked period without manual reception, while keeping access traceable.
Do I need to register visitors in advance?
Invite them before they arrive so the system can issue their access. Last-minute invitations work as long as you send them before the guest reaches the door.
What happens if a visitor arrives and cannot enter?
Check that the invitation was sent and that the booking is active. Re-send the invitation if needed, or contact the Helpdesk.
07 · Parking

Cars & number plates.

At selected locations, parking is connected to the booking and access system. You can register your own number plate or, where enabled, a visitor's plate in the portal. The system uses this to allow access during the valid booking period. If your plate changes, update it before arrival so the system recognises the correct vehicle.

Is parking available?
At selected locations, parking is connected to the daycrunch® booking and access system.
How do I book parking?
Where available, add parking to your booking in the portal.
How do I register my car plate?
Enter your number plate in the portal. The system uses it to allow access during your booking.
Can I register a visitor's car plate?
Where enabled, yes. Add the visitor's plate in the portal.
Can I change the car plate after booking?
Yes. Update the plate before you arrive so the system recognises the correct vehicle.
What happens if I arrive with a different car?
Update the plate in the portal before arrival. If the registered plate does not match, the barrier may not open.
How does ANPR parking access work?
Cameras read your registered number plate and open the barrier automatically during the valid booking period. There is no ticket to take.
When is parking billed?
Parking is added to your booking and appears on your invoice, monthly for company accounts or per booking otherwise.
08 · Company accounts & billing

Teams on one account.

Several users can be linked to the same company or cost centre for billing. Each person still needs an individual account, because bookings, access and building entry are digitally operated and must remain attributable to the correct individual.

Can several employees use one company billing account?
Yes. Link several users to one company or cost centre for billing.
Can we assign users to one cost centre?
Yes. Bookings can be routed to a shared cost centre.
Can we receive one monthly invoice?
Yes. Company accounts receive one monthly invoice covering the linked users.
Can we see who booked what?
Yes. The billing account shows bookings by user.
Can we add and remove users ourselves?
Where a company administrator is enabled, yes. Otherwise contact support and we will adjust the account.
Why does each user still need a personal login?
Because bookings, access and entry are automated and must remain attributable to the correct individual. Shared logins would break that link, so billing stays shared while logins stay personal.
09 · Invoices & payment

Billing.

When will I receive my invoice?
Company accounts are invoiced monthly. Pay-as-you-go bookings are charged per booking.
Where can I download invoices?
Under Manage My Bookings in the portal.
Are bookings billed immediately or monthly?
Depending on your account: per booking for individuals, or on one monthly invoice for company accounts.
Which payment methods are supported?
Card and, for companies, monthly invoice. The portal shows the options set up for your account.
Can companies pay by monthly invoice?
Yes.
What is included in the price?
WiFi, a screen where available, and coffee, tea and water. There are no add-ons on workspace bookings.
What may be charged separately?
Services such as food, catering, parking and life or care services, where you use them.
10 · Shared infrastructure

WiFi, kitchen & common areas.

Is WiFi included?
Yes, at every location, included in your booking.
How do I get WiFi access?
Your booking confirmation includes the WiFi details, or connect through the app.
Can I use the kitchen?

Are drinks included?
Coffee, tea and water are included in workspace bookings.
Is printing available?

Are lockers available?
At selected locations. Smart lockers are being added where they are useful.
Can I use common areas?
Yes. Lounges and common areas are open to members during their booking.
What is cleaned, and what should I leave tidy myself?
We clean the spaces regularly. Because there is no permanent staff on site, please clear your table, take cups back to the kitchen and leave the room ready for the next booking.
